Our Damper Range

2812 MKII series 2812 MKII series

The 2812 MKII is the latest KONI racing damper with the same damper technology as used for the Formula 1 applications. It is a high gas pressure monotube damper, double adjustable, with separate adjustment for bump and rebound. The damper is specially designed to operate at lower damper speeds with clear adjustment steps in the low speed range. The 2812 MKII is available in special lightweight and low friction kits.

Used for: Formula 1, Cart, IRL, Formula 3000, Formula 3 and non McPherson struts on Touring cars.

2817 series 2817 series

Strut version of the 2812. Specially designed for McPherson struts on Touring cars. Made with a special twin guide arrangement to take up the side load of the suspension, resulting in less friction in the strut. Further the damper is equipped with the same technology as the 2812 series, so double adjustable with separate adjustment for bump and rebound. The damper is specially designed to operate at lower damper speeds.

Used for: McPherson struts for Touring cars.

2816 series 2816 series

Bare damper version of the 2817 to be used in struts designed and manufactured by the customer. The 2816 uses the same technology as the 2817 so made with a special twin guide to take up the side load of the suspension, resulting in less friction in the strut. Further the damper is equipped with the same technology of the 2812 series, so double adjustable with separate adjustment for bump and rebound. The damper is specially designed to operate at lower damper speeds.

Used for: McPherson struts for Touring cars.

3011 and 3012 series 3011 and 3012 series

The 3011 and 3012 series damper is a double adjustable high gas pressure monotube damper. It is developed for the ground effect Formula 1 cars in the 80’s. The rebound adjustment can be done without dismounting of the damper, for the bump adjustment it is necessary to dismount the damper from the car. As the damper is of a monotube design it can be used at all possible angles. In contrast to the 28 series the adjustment range of the 30 series damper is at higher damper speeds. The damper is available in steel (3011) and light weight aluminimum. (3012)

Used for: Cup and Club racing, Historic and Truck racing. The damper can also be used for rally applications.

2822 series 2822 series

The 2822 series is a double wall high pressure gas shock absorber. Specifically designed for competition, it is fully adjustable while fitted on the car. It contains two adjusters in bump (compression) and two in rebound (extension), both having an independent low speed as well as a high speed adjustment. Its precision adjustment mechanism allows the maximum control possible over the damping forces generated.

8211 series 8211 series

Twin tube damper as used in Formula 1 during the 60’s till 90’s. Specially suited for cars with relatively low spring rates. Independently adjustable in bump and rebound without the need to dismount it from the car. Due to the twin tube principle the damper must be mounted in a vertical position, or at an angle of not more then 45 degrees to the vertical. Available in steel (8211) and aluminium body. (8212)

Aluminimum body. (8212) Aluminimum body. (8212)
